The Future of Dr. Paulette Brown Hinds

Bio

Dr. Paulette Brown-Hinds, founder of Voice Media Ventures, is the second-generation publisher of Black Voice News. She is transforming the half-century-old weekly print outlet into a solutions-oriented, data journalism, and justice-focused community news organization.

Dr. Paulette Brown Hinds

Dr. Paulette Brown-Hinds is a respected publisher, philanthropic leader, and community advocate with over three decades of experience in media and public service. She holds a B.A in English Literature from California State University, San Bernardino and a M.A. and Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of California, Riverside, where she focused on African American literature and cultural studies. As the publisher of Black Voice News, she has continued her family's legacy of using media as a tool for social change. Her leadership extends to numerous boards and initiatives aimed at improving education, equity, and civic engagement in underserved communities.
